The One With The Girl's Weekend Plus Wes.

Last weekend.
The girls (and Wes, aka "PITA") came down for First Friday.
Mother Mary and Cousin Heather got a head start by drinking a couple of mini Champagne bottles.
Went to a downtown wine bar called Uncorked.
$115 bottle of wine and a cheese plate?
Sure.  Why not.
Does anyone else think this tastes just like the $10 bottle of wine we love but are all too embarrassed to call by name?
(It's the thought that counts.  Thanks, Wes!)
Then, dinner at Cafe Capri.
Yum.  Cajun Fettuccine.
And more wine!
Afterwards, weaved in and out of shops and art cafes.
Danced with Mother Mary to Johnny Cash's "Get Rhythm" in the street.
Had all but decided to call it a night.
When Mother Mary exclaimed, "Let's go to the Dry Bean Saloon!"
Yeah.
I have one of those mothers who is a cheap drunk and still knows how to have a good time.
(Hello childhood memories, long time no see.)
So, of course, we drove to Northgate and had a couple of Tequila shots.
Made our way back home.
Quick stop at CVS.
For ice cream.
Because, when you've had champagne, wine and tequila shots.
Why not go back to The Charles and make milkshakes?
Which we did.
And then all fell asleep watching Sliding Doors.
The following morning.
I should say, the following late morning.
(Except for Aunt Claire who wakes at 4 most mornings.  Freak.)
Some Mimosas.
And then lunch at the Dixie Chicken.
